Everything is insulated and sheeted. Hatch and garage doors are good to go. Cleaned up and everything moved back into its place. Just have to do the trim and router out the window openings. Plan on replacing the overhead doors at some other point. Gotta work on the trailer tomorrow as we’re out camping Wednesday until Saturday. Here’s some pics. Sorry about the glare. My lights are very bright.

Looks great! My wife is bugging me to get a teardrop trailer but I’m holding out for an RV.

Are you coming to BC?

We’re going Northwest past Nordeg here in Alberta. I think we’re coming out to BC in maybe August. We can’t book BC spots as Albertans right now and it’s a bit far to drive to hunt for a backwoods spot.

We really like having a small trailer. I didn’t want to deal with toilets and really dislike cooking indoors. We had a tent trailer when I was a kid, and the everlasting indoor cooking funk always bugged me and always left my mom trapped indoors making food. As a bonus I can push is around by hand if the ground is relatively level. So if we’re sharing a spot with another RV I can “aim” us however is most convenient. Also makes getting into the garage possible. The bed area is pretty snug though. We’re both fairly short, I’m only 5’9” and skinny so it’s good for us. Making the bed is a BIG pain. They also tend to be disproportionately expensive for their size as they tend to be custom made scenarios. But we can pull it EASILY with the wife’s Juke And leave it parked at a spot while using the car. For us the pros outweigh the cons. Eventually we’ll use the Eagle to pull it, but it has more work to be done first and needs many more miles to prove its reliability first.

back in the kid days, a guy up the street from me had one of those wagons.  he also had a small airplane in his back yard.  The closest air strip was like 20 miles away so i dont think it got much use.

I can see the benefits.  It’s basically a weatherproof tent that doubles as storage.  Much more bear proof than a tent too.

That was pretty much our thinking at the time. I had a Jeep Wrangler and considered doing an overland setup but the wife wasn’t a fan of the ladder and such. We also considered a camper van but we like setting up a campsite. I also considered a truck with a pop up camper. But didn’t want a truck at the time.

It’s pretty fun on  gravel roads.

We’re in the very same discussions....including what to do with our JK.  I’m leaning towards a Class C, possibly co-ownership with another couple.

That could be tricky responsibilities-wise and who gets it when.  I tend to shy away from sharing; leads to drama. I either buy what I want when I have the cash for it, or I straight up don’t. But, if you know them well it could work.
